EXTENSION TOUR TO ARTSAKH/NAGORNI KARABAGH
TENTATIVE PROGRAMME
DAY 1: Breakfast at your hotel in Goris. Take off for Artsakh/Karabagh. On the way: visit one of the brilliant masterpieces of ecclesiastic architecture and a UNESCO World Heritage Sight - the Monastery of Tatev. Continue to Lachin, pass through visa and immigration border formalities and cross into the historic county of Artsakh, currently more known as Nagorni Karabagh. Arrival in Shoushi. Brief city tour to include: liberation monument - “Tank”, the Biscopal Center - Ghazanchetsots Church (19th century), the Real Gymnasium (19th century), Iranian Moslem Mosque (19th century), Karin Tak Panorama Ground, Djrdyuz nature monument, other landmarks of this once cultural center of the Artsakh county. Continue to Stepanakert, check in at the local hotel. Brief rest & dinner at the hotel.
DAY 2: Breakfast at your hotel restaurant. Take off for your Stepanakert city tour to include the symbol of Artsakh – the statue “We and our mountains”, also known as "Gradma & Grandpa", time for local souvenir-shopping at one of the handicrafts stores and stop by a post office to get a collection of unique stamps if so wished. Continue the tour and visit a carpet factory-discover the secrets of world known Karabagh or "dragon" patterns! Continue our odyssey and visit the Monastery of Gandzasar and Martakert district villages, as well as other landmarks of the region. Return to Stepanakert via Khodjalu village and stop by Askeran Fortress (19 th century). Brief rest at the hotel. Dinner at one of the local restaurants in the city center.

3: Breakfast at the hotel. Check out and depart from Artsakh to Armenia.
